Shatterford One Day Meet Report

Following successful one day meets held at Shatterford in 2024, our first meet in 2025 was another one-day social gathering at Shatterford Village Hall.

The meet was well attended and our stewards, Mark and TC Burton provided a warm welcome to everyone.

TC had organised decoupage card making for those that interested in utilising their craft skills and they chatted whilst constructing beautiful cards. They were entertained by tunes played by numerous musicians.

Saturday evening was an enjoyable occasion. The tables were rearranged in readiness for the shared supper and a tasty array of food appeared as if by magic.

Then the tables and chairs disappeared to reveal a small dance floor allowing us to have an informal relaxed social gathering consisting of a full evening of music, song and dancing with a live band led by Julia. Mark was MC for the evening.

TC organised a raffle and we struggled to contain the excitement during the draw for the prizes!

The Midland ukulele band briefly gathered to perform a couple of songs.

It was a very successful afternoon and evening in the company of our folk group friends.
