Who we are

Joining a camping community, such as the Midlands Folk Dance and Song Group (FDSG), offers a plethora of benefits for people who love music. Our community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for music and creativity enjoy organized meets throughout the year, where they can socialize, exchange ideas and experience, and build friendships that extend beyond the campfire.

Our weekend meets include music sessions, singing, dancing, ukulele band, crafts, sometimes a game of boules, walks and occasionally geocaching, or any other interests you are able to share.

​There's always tea and biscuits when you arrive on Friday and again on Saturday morning and afternoon. Saturday evening is a great social occasion with a ´shared supper followed by an evening of music, dancing and spot turns.

Being part of a camping community also opens doors to new camping locations, insider knowledge on the best spots to visit, and a sense of belonging to a supportive and welcoming group. Whether you are a seasoned camper or a beginner looking to embark on new adventures, joining a camping community in the UK enriches the overall camping experience and creates a sense of camaraderie that makes every trip more enjoyable.
